The innovative three-layer design of the new Green I-TIS Easy tatami has a bio-based, non-fossil heart. This is ProGame’s TR-EECell green foam, made from polyethylene derived from sugar cane waste which, with the absence of PVC on the surface, ensures a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the previous model.

TR-EECell is our bio-based and cross-linked polyethylene foam, certified and recognized worldwide.
TR-EECell features raw materials derived from sugar cane waste.
The process of exploiting sugar cane usually involves five squeezing steps: the juice obtained from the first two steps is used to produce brown sugar for human consumption, while the last three steps generate a less valuable juice that is not suitable for food sugar production.
In these last three steps, the ethanol needed to create our foam is produced.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a systematic method of measuring the environmental impact of a product at every stage of its life, from the extraction and processing of raw materials, through production, distribution, use, and ending with the end of its life cycle.
Trocellen’s LCA measurement focuses on the Cradle-to-Gate assessment: the LCA stages with direct influence on environmental impact by Trocellen. These include resources, processes and manufacturing, without considering distribution, use and end of life.
The ProGame Green I-TIS Easy tatami is the first bio-based mat for educational purpose with premium features; its distinctive part is the green coloured foam core layer and the absence of the PVC on the surface.
Based on Trocellen’s LCA calculation, it generates a 70% reduction in Global Warming Potential (GWP), compared to the previous ProGame I-TIS Easy model, 100% fossil and with PVC on the top.

Studies confirm that a single tree can absorb 10 kg of CO2 per year (https://onetreeplanted.org/blogs/stories/how-much-co2-does-tree-absorb). Assuming that the average lifespan of any ProGame area is at least five years, you can calculate how many planted trees it equates:
The Green I-TIS Easy Tatami has been approved by the International Judo Federation as a preparatory tatami for school activities and for introducing children to the practice of judo. The lightweight of the tatami and the Invisible Interlocking System can engage children from the very beginning. Like a jigsaw puzzle, they can put the area together themselves in less than 10 minutes.
Green I-TIS Easy, children’s growth without compromise.
The innovative three-layer design of the new Green I-TIS Easy tatami exceeds all the strict safety standards required by the International Judo Federation. The invisible interlocking design ensures a level of stability never seen before by ProGame.
Green I-TIS Easy, safety without compromise.
With the certification of a certified centre, we have met the strict safety standards required by the International Judo Federation. The Green I-TIS Easy mat complies with the European Norm regulating: Sports mats, Safety requirements (NF EN 12503.1)
We comply:
Shocks absorbing (NF EN 12503.4)
Characteristics of the base of friction (NF EN 12503.5)
Characteristics of friction of the superior face (NF EN 12503.6)
